There's so much to see on Trinidad's trails! Ten miles of trails reward eager explorers wanting to learn, exercise or conduct nature study. Several trails are ADA-accessible. Sights range from open vistas, to grasslands, forests, cliffs and ponds. Cold-weather enthusiasts can enjoy hiking all winter.
Heading north on I-25, take Exit 13B to West Main Street. At the first four-way stop, turn left onto Nevada. At the next four-way stop by the Welcome Center, turn left and continue west on Highway 12 for 3.5 miles. Heading south on I-25, take exit 13B and at the stop sign, turn left under the freeway towards town. At the four-way stop next to the Sonic, go left on Nevada and make a left at the next four-way stop. Take Hwy 12 west for 3.5 miles.
